How should I use extra training time?

So I row for a small ACRA club, just for fun and to stay in shape. Our training is pretty easy and I was thinking I probably could fit some extra sessions in because I have time in the mornings.

If I have 6 days/week to workout, would it be more effective to do steady state every morning, or steady state for 3 days and weights for 3 days?

I ask because as a club we do no steady state, and I know it’s very important, but I’m also fairly skinny and I imagine lifting would help.
