Breathing technique

Hey everybody,

I’m a junior in the sport (4 years running), and I’m prepping to do a 2k in a couple of weeks. I’ve really been focusing on my breathing during 2k-pace pieces, and either I’m taking one breath per stroke (maybe not enough), or two (once at the finish, and once at the catch). I think I’m doing it inefficiently, and it’s holding me back on anything over 500m. How do you all breathe at race rate?
