2k predictor

I’m 15m, weigh 200 lbs. I’ve got an erg race in a couple days and am looking for some 2k predictor workouts to see what split I should go for. Recently got roasted for the workout I did (4x500m 2 mins rest)Should I just do a free rate 2k?
