Is there any real effect of dropping the splits at the end of a session? i.e. dropping the splits down to ~AT pace at the end of a long steady state session or sprinting the last 200 of an AT workout. I’ve seen some frown heavily upon doing so, while others have told me there is no real effect, just wondering the general opinion on it.
