Sculling pieces vs erg pieces

My current workout schedule is around 25k a day of steady state and a row in the morning 5 days a week. My rows in the morning usually contain some higher rate pieces and I was wondering if that means I don’t have to do as much hard pieces on the erg. M17 150# 6:34 2k. Im trying to go sub 6:30 before November and would like to know if something like this would help me improve.
