Losing weight for the fall season

(5’7, 61kg / 135lbs, 16m) This is my first year rowing, and I’m loving every second of it. But I’ve always been a bit chubby which I feel is holding me back from competing at the level I want, My family has an erg, and I’ve been doing some steady-state on it for a couple days, (3x 20m) Are there any other workouts that would work better for getting rid of that excess weight relatively quickly?
