My gym only has water rowers and while I love the fact that mimic the motion of actually rowing a real boat in the water (makes me feel like a Viking), I can’t get over the fact that water rower times differ significantly from Concept2 times.
My 2K time on the water rower was 7:28; then when I did another 2K on the Concept2 (which I completed about 6 days later) at my friend’s house, it was 8:01.
