So I’ve been working on my steady state as this sub highly recommends. Usually I do it at 17-20 spm. Now i’m trying to incorporate some 8x500m intervals once a week. The first time i tried the intervals, I could not get my stroke rate above 31. It’s not that I was tired or breathless (for the first 2 sets at least), I just couldn’t physically move that fast along the slide.
Can anyone give advice on how to increase my stroke rate? Should I shorten my stroke compared to my SS stroke length? If so should it be shortened …read more
